I thought I was going to be disappointed as a HUGE fan of the first movie. Im the age of max and Allison irl, but I never saw the first movie until around 2005 or so, when I watched it with my kids. I now watch it many times when fall comes. I was both excited and anxious about a second one coming out because it's usually not as good as the first, but I was pleasantly surprised. lt starts out kinda slow, and I really don't like the witch who gives Winnie the book. I thought the devil himself gave her the book? I just don't like the character who played that witch, or her role, no idea who she is at all. I think Bette Midler was as good as the original, but Sarah and Mary were a lot different. I was especially disappointed in Sarah. She was not as bubbly or child like or enthusiastic as the first movie. I mean I know they're all a lot older now, but still expected them to be close to the way they were in the original. I liked Mary, she was just a lot more confident in this one. Overall, it's entertaining, and has some really clever and funny scenes. An interesting storyline. And the clip at the end of it, after the credits, makes it clear there will be another one. I'm excited to see what the third one brings.

Interesting, until it's not. The ending was a bit disappointing. It almost seems like a choose your own adventure. There were definitely some great plot twists, but quite a let down at the end. When there's a lot of information, I sometimes get confused, but everything in this movie was just confusing. It wasn't that there was too much info, maybe not enough. Like it wanted you to fill in the blanks with your own imagination. That's what I mean by a choose your own adventure. I just watched What Women Want a few days ago so I was quite shocked to see Helen Hunt looking the way she does in here. I know it's been about 20 years, and none of us are getting any younger. Not trying to shame her, but her appearance is scary in this movie. Everyone seems to think it's plastic surgery, but she looks like she needs it, not like she had it. If she did, I'm scared to know what she looked like previously and she should get her money back. It also took me until the end of the movie to recognize her husband. He used to be a really handsome guy himself. I actually thought he looked younger than her in the movie, but he's a little older.
