Okay the first 20 minutes were super cringe but the rest of the movie was really fun and memorable! I absolutely love Jim Carrey's portrayal of Dr. Eggman. There is a LOT to appreciate about this movie. Lots of good quotes and meme-able moments. I'm still chuckling to myself as I remember certain parts of the movie. Very entertaining! I only wish they didn't make sonic an idiot because he's not like that in the source material.

As a Pokemon fan Detective Pikachu was a real treat! You don't need to know all the references to enjoy this movie. The humor is on point and there are a lot of memorable action scenes. The fight club dude and his Charizard were my favorite haha.
