We knew the ending but we didn’t know the journey. It was a bit light on content. Very linear in its storytelling. Superficial character development. There were clearly some bold moves such as the unannounced visit to Jordan’s home, the development of the shoe design was underdone (big miss, I would have assumed multiple iterations), the marketing pitch was brutal with barely any planning, but the final negotiation of a percentage of sales of all Air Jordans was the biggest letdown. After all Sonny did to convince everyone to bet the company and his career on landing Jordan, he caves at the last moment. I found it unbelievable and out of character. If that’s what really happened so be it but there had to be more to the story. Tetris, The Movie, was way more enjoyable.
