Not a silly juvenile Ferrell output, but an incredibly well-built story with triumphant acting by a perfect cast. Ferrell's and Gyllenhaal's best romantic performances; and Thompson, Hoffman, & Latifah were spot-on fantastic. Smaller yet important roles only added enjoyably to this delightful film.
