A really good read. Just like it's predecessors it was hard to put down. Follett does his usual great job in building depth to the characters. My only gripe (minor spoiler alert) is that it doesn't have the same breadth as the other Kingsbridge novels, only taking place over about 10 years. The blurb on the inside of the jacket states that The Evening and the Morning ends where Pillars of the Earth begins; this is not the case. About 120 years still separates the two novels.
