Decent variety of weapons. It's a rouge-lite, so you get some progression between stages. Definitely recommend more shield ASAP. Definitely challenging, but a lot of fun, especially in the co-op. English translation is a bit wonky is some places, but you get the gist. Art style is a cute cell-shaded style, so that's a plus.
