Of interest as I lived in Portland, OR during this time and saw the outcome of this devious, greedy, sexually malicious man in the form of a guru. A doc about a man who brainwashed followers, sexually abused under aged women, treated people as unequals. Kind of like Donald Trump. How anyone finds it in their hearts to follow such a man must be so internally weak. This documentary could have been excellent if only they did not have such an annoying musical soundtrack that, all to often, make it impossible to understand what people were saying. I often wonder what it is that makes people decide film always needs a musical soundtrack when the feeling without it could be so much more intense and dramatic. Because of this, oh so annoying addition, I give it one star.
