I was expecting a historical novel but found it to be a cheap thriller instead. Also, you would think the author would pay a little better attention to the customs and circumstances of WWII Poland. I am sure they did not have garbage bags, they did not have turkey for lunch meat and certainly not cereal for breakfast. A 3 year old would not have been sitting in a high chair ( people did not use high chairs, or very rarely), and so on..Just waiting for them to stroll into a MC Donald's next.

Great show, got pretty tired of Sarah though eventually: even though caring she comes across as cold. Then is her obsession with Judaism, typical for somebody who is a convert and cannot grasp the essence, the 'heart', of the religion. Her son really is not Jewish, because his mother is not by lineage. Bad writing in that regard, in my opinion. Mrs Bligh senior, a winner all the way, so is the Duncan couple and many others.
