Never read the books. I did see the version of the movie that came out in 1984, and the Children of Dune miniseries. This was a great movie but some scenes just seemed pointless. Aside from just abruptly ending I hated how the blue eyes looked on the Fremen. I would have preferred the blue eyes depicted in the Children of Dune miniseries. They made Stilgar look weak and that for me just didn't sit right. Too much left unsaid, undone for this to be a five star film. I just find it kind of stupid to remake Dune and not finish the film. Instead fans must wait like 2 years and hope that the film is concluded in its entirety then.
