I love this show. I think the negative reviews are due in part to the viewers inability to grasp these subtle but smart digs at current politics and pop culture. The writing is funny, sharp, occasionally searing...overall it keeps you watching and it's a very entertaining. There's very little to do with the original movie so if that's what you're hoping for skip it. This TV show deals with what it's like to have a relationship today, the ups and downs and the complications of very real current topics. Overall the writing is just very sharp and very witty and yeah you won't like it if you're too dumb to get it. But if you get it, you get. 😊
