Bad people doing bad things and in the most borning ways. The fun part about villian movies is the moral battle. This was just waiting to see who died in the end. Waste of time and too many political agendas being obviously pushed. Also the music was excessive and lighting kinda cringy as they attempted an off brand 80s feel. Eck.

I went into this having grown up watching the original Broadway rendition. I realized quickly that this was not that...yet it was still something special. Most of the bad reviews are snarky one liners who likely did not want to take the time and creative effort into wanting to truly get "into" this show. It's not for everyone, but truly the animation, the dancing and music are beautiful. There were a few cringy moments, but hey, they are cats.

Deffinetly not like our cartoon classic but beautiful and touching! It captures not only the real but also metaphorical struggles of the world and man alone. If you watch it don't go into it expecting dancing monkies and singing bears. It's a fast paced drama for sure, about war and peace and a boy who doesnt belong which is what makes him in just the right place. 10/10 *awe striking parallels
