Unlike most other reviewers, I did check the movie’s background. Barris has admitted that it was fictional. I got the DVD because I enjoy Sam Rockwell, but this is the poorest acting I’ve seen him do. The movie itself was too long, boring, disconnected, and confusing. I had to force myself to sit through the whole thing. I can’t recall when I’ve been so grateful to see a movie end. The cover art said it was a comedy, but my desperate search for any humor went unrewarded. If this is an example of George Clooney’s directing, then he better stick to acting. He is a superb master of that.
