As a fan of the original L Word, I was VERY on board for the reboot when it was announced. Although I found myself disappointed when we wouldn't be seeing as many old faces, I quickly grew to like the newer cast, however they do seem to miss some of the chemistry of the original cast. The first two episodes are not phenomenal, but I promise if you stick with it it'll get much better. I tend to see complaints regarding the inclusivity of the new show and how disingenuous it feels to what it used to be, but what Gen Q is now is representative of the ever changing face of the LGBTQ+ community, they're attempting to actually do right by the representation of their characters as opposed to its predecessor which I think we're all aware didn't always do certain story lines or characters justice.I'm sure they won't get it all right, but we're still so early in the series for me to draw serious conclusions about representation. I'm excited for what's to come and I hope Showtime gives it a proper chance, we so need something like this right now.
