I have watched Dr Who since I was a child with the first doctor William Hartnell through to the current series.
Disappointed isn't a strong enough word to describe how I feel about the new series and it has nothing to do with gender!
Did someone forget to tell them this is a sci-fi show. Also the lack complexity in any of the storylines and abrupt endings is very unsatisfying.
The cast all look like they're acting. I don't feel a chemistry between them. Jodie Whittaker is trying too hard but seems to be trying to be an irritating version of David Tenant who just doesnt seem to shut up. I loved the previous doctors as they all had their individual quirks but you also knew they could be powerful when needed.
I'm sad that a great sci-fi show has been reduced to a playschool version of a much loved show. We are really missing the writing and production of the previous series. Are they trying to phase out the Doctor!!??
I'm still watching so far but honestly I prefer watching the reruns of previous series on other channels. I also have them recorded so I can dip into favourite episodes. I'm not recording these any longer and won't worry about missing an episode. They've killed the essence of the Doctor!
