I watched the mini series Legend previous to Respect so I knew a lot about the story. Legend did a better job telling some of the earlier years, but, overall, Respect did a better job grabbing the essence of Aretha Franklin. Jennifer Hudson did an excellent job portraying Aretha F. . Especially her singing & overall look. The ending moved me to tears. 👍👍
