Honestly, recently there has been a trend of movies defying reality and creating a completely unrealistic plot to push political statements. That’s exactly what happened in this movie, and honestly it ruined its chances of becoming a good film. Next time I would recommend not letting the girl who is strangled to death and pumped with water to somehow break out of a sinking car and defeat the Russian Mafia to prove a point about girl-bossing. However, I thought the acting was superb, as all of the actors played their parts to perfection, and I felt extremely strong emotions towards pretty much every character in the movie, so good job on that. But again, the problem falls on the writing to make a bearable and realistic plot that the viewer can enjoy rather than cringing at how some random girl who scams elderly people defies reality to kidnap and then become business partners with the Russian mob leader. However, the ending pretty made up for most of the movies fallbacks, as just at the point where I thought she was going to get off scot free, she ended up you know, dying, and at that moment I felt a relief of emotion that only a few movies make me feel. So while I am not a fan of the script, writing, or most of the plot, the ending and superb performance on behalf of the actors warrant a 2.5/5 (they don’t have 2.5 stay option so I just put 3).
