Saw this film back in 1986 at the New Beverly Cinema in Los Angeles. I went because the title intrigued me. Walked out of the theater knowing I had just seen something truly special. Went back to see it again a few times, each time with different people. Everyone loved it. I own a copy on VHS and the soundtrack on vinyl. A great film.
Other films of this high quality on my list would be - Living On Tokyo Time (1986), Brother From Another Planet (1984),Educating Rita (1983),The Purple Rose Of Cairo (1985), UFOria (1985),Something Wild (1986), and the Bill Forsyth trio - Gregory's Girl (1981), Local Hero (1983), and Comfort And Joy (1984). The eighties was a great decade for film.
