This is a slack version of Poirot. Whilst the actors do their best with the script, and Daniel Craig does his best impression of Foghorn Leghorn, the slapped on explanation of the crime at the end is poor. Its attempt to be humourous is badly handled, the exposition dull. I would happily watch a David Suchet episode of Poirot or even Tom Sellecks magnum has more of a cohesive feel to the crime, deduction, and resolution. I think the general public have either been too long without a murder mystery film, or the great unwashed have lower expectations.
