I don't believe Branagh in this role, and I see it as a rash attempt at a classic. He is outclassed and outplayed by the 2009 David Tennant version, as well as not being half as good as Peake in 2014, Cumberbatch in 2015, Scott in 2017 and Esidu in 2018. I'd suggest watching any of these over Branagh's dodgy adaptation. 2/5.
