I saw The Irishman this afternoon. It's more of an interesting movie than a masterpiece. I feel it's too long at 3 1/2 hours, but the time did go fast. I am not interested in gangsters and mobsters, although I have enjoyed some gangster movies over the years. I saw The Godfather first run when it came out. I thought then and still do now that The Godfather is a great film. I don't place The Irishman on that level. Before I forget The Irishman is very much about Jimmy Hoffa, the vanished head of The Teamsters Union, who was heavily involved with some Mafia or Cosa Nostra hoodlums and paid a very high price. Money and power can be dangerous if you don't watch out.
