I have read many reviews and debated with many people who have rated this game. I see a special beauty in this game that apparently not many are seeing. Many people say that the characters are wrong and weren't correct but I disagree. Many people say this game has no character development and to that I ask "Are you blind". Many people hate abby and rightfully so, but I love the way she developed. Also I think the unconventional way in which they had the player play as the antagonist and beat down the protagonist was a master stroke. My reason for believing that is we don't want to do that. We don't want to fight Tommy or Ellie yet we are and it makes it all the more gut wrenching. I think there were elements of the gameplay that were beautiful as well as small literary concepts that were equally as beautiful. I think this is a game the is a testimony to what games could be. No other platform of entertainment can make you brutally beat down the protagonist in such a way and I find that beautiful. Apparently I am of the minority as someone who loves every bit of this game, but I stand strong with my belief that this game is a masterpiece.
