The first time I played it I thought the story was bland then I went back and played through it again. This time I finally realized it's not just a revenge story it's about Ellie trying to forgive Joel and herself for how horribly she treated him near the end. She said she'd try to forgive him but never got the chance and she blamed all her problems on Abby because she took that chance away from Ellie. Its deeper than just a revenge storyline its Ellie not being able to forgive Joel and she has to live with that. All those things Ellie said to Joel and the way she treated him was never made up for and Abby took that away from her. Everyone needs to realize that this is way more than Ellie getting revenge, this game is a cinematic masterpiece. Enjoyed every second, thank you.
