Ok let me preface by saying when the game first came out I was aware of the spoiler, and the controversy, and I refused to play the game due to how the hero of the first game was treated.
Fast forward a little over two years...
I just finished The Last of Us Remastered on my PS5 for the third time, I originally played normal, the hard, then survivor, and I absolutely loved each of those three playthrough. Lastly I finally played the dlc content which I consider MANDATORY before playing Part 2.
Part 2 is gripping, a narrative masterpiece that will run you through the entire emotional gamut. I laughed, I cried, I hated, I rejoiced killing those sons of batches...
And when I was done I wrote this review, and I hope that you too can set aside any previous views and just give this game a chance.
It was a farewell to the man who could have been your grandfather, your father, perhaps the man you aspire to be. Imperfect, yet decisive, haunted by the ghosts of his past, yet able to accept the fate destiny had delivered. Knowing in his heart that the cycle is complete.
