I don't like to write a lot of reviews but I have to for this one since I'm a huge fan of the TV show; I honestly think this movie isn't as good as the show; in the show the narrative style, Logan Browning, Antoinette Robertson, they do a much better job at portraying the ups and downs, rises and inner complexities of their character (and this is not a shade to Tessa Thompson, I love her acting and maybe this was the producer's decision) and Ashley Blaine Featherson, she's a true badass in the show, this movie literally dragged her to the background which was disappointing to see. The show also does a better job of putting emphasis on the backgrounds of each main character, their upbringings, their successes, their strengths, and weaknesses, whereas this movie only revolves around 2 or 3 characters. Had I watched the movie first before I watched the show, maybe I would have liked it more.
