Every action movie cliche rolled into what could easily have been a Bollywood movie. Rake (Hemsworth) can take on an entire city's police force, who are apparently all corrupt. Convenient.
Is there no end to the white savior complex?
The main issue with the film ultimately is that it tries to walk the line between realism and John Wick-esque over the top action. It doesn't work.
Having said all that, the action sequences before and right after the car chase are top drawer.
Also, what's with crossing the bridge? Why can't the police follow them to the other side? If it's the border then where are the Indian soldiers on the other side of the border?
