personally< I believe this is some of Johnny Depps best work here, most people have never heard of this movie, also, I think Christina Ricci was wonderful in this role,,Cate Blanchett as well,, the director used real French Gypsy musicians for the portrayal of the French Gypsy's was accurate for this time period,, it was a strange movie, perhaps not for every one, but Depp is at his finest here, and it is worth the watch,, I loved it, but I truly enjoy foreign films, if you get a chance to watch please,, give it a shot

It is a beautiful film, with beautiful colors, unbelievable music and a fanstastic cast, I wish more movies were made like this, it's very emotional and it made me cry, Not very many movies move me to such a extent.
