It's missing a full third of a game. It goes from a point where it is just getting interesting straight to the endgame and pretends to resolve several plot threads through that. It lacks much of the charm that made the previous main console titles what they were, it feels rushed, the game play is repetitive, and most of the characters show zero growth throughout the game.
Good for nostalgia, bad for a game we've been waiting over a decade for.
