You all missed the point! The fashion. Just kidding, I loved reading these reviews. Thank you. Having not read the book, not beingAfrican American, and not experienced in most or any of these experiences, I missed some things. Thank you for your insights. Now for the shallows: the costumes, particularly the hats and dresses were stunning, even in black and white! It was quite an unusual movie all around. The nuances an subtlety hit me like a brick!
