I found myself really enjoying this film. Solid acting, decent script and the special effects were very well done! I can recommend this as a must see.

From the start, the lead actress quietly drew you into her character and her performance had you fully engaged in the story within the first transition after the initial timeframe in the beginning. I loved the humbleness of her character who is highly intelligent with no arrogance. Glen Powell doesn't disappoint either, as his character reveals a method to his wild approach to tornado chasing. This is the movie people have been waiting for this summer - the tornado effects, the excellent storyline, good actors in the right roles. These all combine to do what movies are meant to do - invest you in the characters lives and the storyline, and allow you to escape into another world.

While the performances of Weaver and Edgerton are haunting, I found myself very disconcerted about the relationships. With the age difference between the gardener and the young girl, I was hoping for a father-daughter relationship and was so disappointed with the clumsy, forced interaction between these two characters. I didn't read the book so I don't know what all the relationships were supposed to be, but the script failed to have any real impact for the viewer

I really wanted to like this movie. But the scene in the beginning where the wolf warriors were dancing around the fire to rouse themselves into a frenzy was simply ludicrous and for me, that set the tone for the rest of the movie. They were going for a world of Scandinavian mysticism and revenge, but the script was scattered, the acting forced, and in the end all the rage and vengeance felt empty. Vikings was a well scripted and well acted series that drew the audience in from the first scene, but sadly, this movie is not even close to the quality of it.

I couldn't bear to watch Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher - that was a joke - and feared that image would forever be burned into my memory. But watching the first episode of Reacher had me yelling "He's the perfect Reacher!". The right build, height, hair color, and most of all, almost haunted look iof a man who has seen too much of the worst in humans. I can't wait for the upcoming seasons to follow...

I am really not a huge Nicholas Cage fan, but I was surprised how well he played this complex character. The director succeeded in drawing out depth in each role and what I thought would be just another revenge movie was actually a thought provoking insight into how people deal with tragedy in similar ways. I throughly enjoyed this film.

This movie seemed to have potential for greatness, given Michiel Huisman and Josh Hartnett, along with Ben Kingsley, had roles that could have used their admirable talents to tell the story of war and love. But the script was uninspired, and there was little chemistry between either Huisman or Hartnett with the lead actress. Huisman could play opposite a vacuum cleaner and still ooze charm and believable attraction, but there was little to he could do with this role given the blandness of what he had to work with. Hartnett's lines fell flat and even this talented actor couldn't make them work. Kingsley apparently needed to buy a house or something, because this legendary actor probably knew the script was marginal but took the job regardless.
