Here is my spoiler free review of Halloween Kills. I had just watched The Movies That Made Us episode on the 1978 Halloween so I appreciated the call backs and homages to the original in Halloween Kills. I appreciate the twist in HK as it reminds us of the dangers of mob mentality, the power of trauma on a community-wide scale, and how innocent people can pay the price of vigilante justice. I am a social worker/therapist and (no spoilers) there was one scene that made me cry. I feel like they had a lot of story arcs that needed to be featured in this film so it does feel rushed at times. I enjoyed the movie immensely and will in all likelihood watch it again!
