It was very hard to rate this game myself, sometimes it felt like a 5 star and other times 1 star. It might be that it's the first time I am playing God of War. I found a few things complicated, but it could be that I am a newbie to the world of console games ( last I played was a PS 3 currently invested and bought me the PS 5). The Bad: The maps and directions on the game was not as easy to use and work around as I found some other games, namely Horizon. The puzzles were sometimes ridiculous especially the timed Nornir ones, the Muspelheim quest and the Nilfheim quest. After finishing the game I was stuck on level 7 and couldn't upgrade no matter what I did, only way to upgrade was to complete the Muspelheim and Nilfheim quests, which after a while becomes quite tedious and boring. Those quest was a labour of time which I found very very boring after the 14 hours doing the same thing. For example: Nilfheim run around dodging traps fight the same bad guy, take a break before you die and start over, then repeat over and over and over😫, it became mind numbing and boring. The same thing with the Muspelheim quest, although much better than the Nilfheim but some quest became almost impossible and after the 12 time repeating one quest I decided you know what the game is finished let's move on to something knew🙄. The Good: What I found amazing about the game was: The storytelling from Memir, The voice actors Fantastic storyline, a new take on the Norse Mythology Touching moments in the story Interaction between Kratos and his son Loved the Chaos blades melee attack! Not so much the axe as I am a poor Aimee. Awesome graphic! PS4 game playing on PS5 and I couldn't tell much apart from a PS5 game (There are more but my memory is still fresh from from the mind numbingness of Nilfheim - I will update my post once I get over this frustration) Summary (kind of): Honestly if I left the game at the end of main storyline this would of been a 5 star from me, but feeling irritable, frustrated and bored from the after quest just brought it down, I wanted to rate it a 3 star but remember all the good parts of the game I couldn't bring myself to do that! I still can't wait for the next part of the game and I am a bit hesitant to play the older versions due to the poor graphics of the older game, would like if they could update the older games to the newer consoles then I would be really interested in getting those games. I truly enjoyed Kratos journey and character development from the angry vengeful God of War to the new role he is playing. Final thoughts: All in all if I can forget the last few days of playing this was a very enjoyable experience 😊
