Only a few movies ("Of Body and Soul" from Hungary, "Heaven" with Cate Blanchett", "The Double life of Veronika", "Brokeback Mountain" , "The Dekalog"...) leave you in shock, totally unprepared for a maelstrom of deep, ravaging emotions, overwhelming you and leaving a permanent trace inside. This is one of them.
Don't miss this moment of pure grace (no pun intended...).
This movie was written from real events in a polish convent by the way and in case you don't know, more than 2 millions women were raped by the Red Army in the 3 years (1945-48) following their "liberation" of several Europeans countries (most of the rapes occurred in Germany, devoid of men, where they would sometimes kill the women and the rest of their families after their exactions but most of the time they were quite happy to sire kids with russian blood ...).
