This game is awful all around. The mission structure, which apart from the neutral missions is just "kill all enemies on the enenie's side" or "activate the machines" or "do this within a limited amount of time". The way Shadow controls is basically just a poorly done version of Sonic Heroes' speed character controls. The level design does not work with this game and I swear, I hate the platforming.
The framerate is awful on the console I played it on, which was PS2. People like to say Heroes' PS2 port was bad (it really wasn't) but Shadow's is very bad, look for yourself and you'll see.
Not only that, but the path system is awfully stupid, there's 326 different routes, and it's not like if you do any it has any consequences for anything. You have to acheive all 10 endings to unlock thhe final story, which basicaally just ends up making all the other endings non-canon.I wouldn't really be complaining about this, if the game wasn't story based.
The voice acting for the most part is bad. 4Kids, that's why. Black Doom is extremely awful, like listen to him!
If there were 2 positives about this game that I would give, it's most of the music, and I kinda like the gun gameplay although it can get boring.
So overall, do I recommend this game? No, not at all. Unless if you were like me at first and are dying to pllay this game, then I feel you should try it.
Also, it's not really that edgy. Honestly.
