внимание внимание (vnimaniye vnimaniye), which translates to- attention attention, as they announce when the USSR comrades come out of their notion and asks the people of Pripyat to evacuate the town, and boy should we give attention to this show. This is something totally brilliant, be it writing, cinematography, background score (best among all) or the fear of something inevitable. I have always been interested in the Chernobyl disaster and have watched numerous of documentaries related to it and truly speaking when I watched the trailer of this HBO miniseries, the first thought that crossed my mind was of one more exaggerated series ruining history, but I was wrong. It ticks almost all the boxes if you really want to know/experience what happened in Chernobyl on the midnight of 26th April 1986. The only thing that I thought could have made it a perfect series was the language. They could (read should) have used Russian instead of English to install maximum authenticity to the show which in a way gets covered by some brilliant acting and powerful use of sound effects. And anyone suggesting using Russian language would have resulted into constant subtitles and ultimately tanking of the show, I only have one word to say, 'Narcos'. Rating- 9/10 P.S. Please watch it
