Went in expecting a boring kiddie movie, but was very surprised. A very intelligent story of growing up in rural Georgia 1977. Jimmy carter is president and a misfit group of kids come to grips with life. The cast is amazing with the superb VIOLA DAVIS and ALLISON JANNEY heading a great cast of actors. The lead child actress is the wonderful McKenna grace. I've never enjoyed viola davis more and jim galligan was excellent and quirky as well. This will be a movie I will watch multiple times and never get tired of.
