Sad times we are in. I finally convinced myself to stop drinking the koolaid and not buy it this year. It’s been the same game for years! Animations are trash, AI is numb, even predictable, franchise mode is boring and never changing, create a player is 20 years old, no collected stats, no historical stats, no coaching saga, no offense or defensive coordinators, sidelines have been designed by a 3rd grader, Graphics don’t evolve, Commentary is generic, repetitive and unrealistic. No actual branded TV game presentation like ESPN or NBC. No emphasis on Monday or Thursday night games, do they even acknowledge preseason games? Most preseason games are packed stadiums, and the commentary is numb to that as well, no historic teams, don’t even get me started on Maddens off season. Just take a look at madden 08 for a better representation. The game is 15 years behind. EA needs to wipe the slate clean and take a good look at the 2K series of FOOTBALL games and change, overcome and adapt. NBA 2K is the correct way to design a sports game, giving the user complete control. They are losing customers by the year and I most certainly am one of them until something changes. Hopefully they put their best foot forward with the PS5 platform. $59.99 for this every year? It’s not even worth $39.99 at this point. As for now “EA SPORTS. It’s NOT in the game!” I’m out!
