I am amazed Lincoln’s speech “The Perpetuation of Our Political Institutions: 1838”, is never mentioned by the historians visiting Morning Joe. Lincoln is speaking prior to the Civil War concerning the conditions in our country. Present time our country is in very precarious and vulnerable time! Conditions in 1838 resulted in the Civil War. What will be the results of the Trump administration and the revolting actions of the Republican members of Congress? Lincoln’s speech he states “danger will rise among us! It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher”. Speak up historians. Joe should keep his mouth shut and let his guest speak more often. Most of your guest are knowledgable people concerning present world situations etc.. They sit there quietly while Joe talks about his time in Washington. Shut up Joe and let the guest speak.
