I love this book a lot. For an origin story, it is really well written and gives us an insight to more about Carol's childhood and why her family didn't want her to go to space. My favourite part was that the author included Spider-Woman aka Jessica Drew as a good friend of Carol, instead of making Danvers a loner. This book would be the first to recommend to a friend if they want to get into Captain Marvels character or even learn more about Carol's backstory like I wanted to. 5 out of 5 stars!

In my opinion, this book was outstanding. It was well written by Sam, the idea about the flerken invasion was hilarious and a definite page-turner. The illustrations were impressive and made me chuckle. Also, I finished this in one sit since it hooked me on. Also, Carol as a character was written well, she wasn't as whiney like other people portray her to be. Thank you, Sam! If anybody is looking to purchase it or be turned off by the superhero, I promise you will be obsessed with her after this book. Absolutely an amazing purchase. I cannot state how much I recommend it.
