This movie comments on modern society with such a high level of nuance I found myself wanting to rewatch certain scenes as soon as they were over. The cinematic composition brought tears to my eyes on multiple occasions. American Poltergeist is the perfect example of what happens when an exceptional story, refined acting, and true talent and care combine. Film enthusiasts will delight in the beautiful shot composition and fast paced editing, and regular horror movie lovers (like myself) will also deeply connect with the intelligent and slow building scares.
