Taylor Swift like most celebrities live in this huge bubble. They only care about the issues that affect them. Although we can relate to them on some level when it comes to heartbreak, the newest makeup look, a sexual assault incident, etc., the most important issue that affects the rest of us is money - our investment in education, the cost of healthcare, the difficulty of the job market, etc. All of these issues these people will not really encounter until they have children or grandchildren who didn’t have fame and money to guide them. It’s unfortunate that she is now entering the realm of politics after keeping her well respected silence for so many years. She does not have a well rounded understanding of ALL the issues to be getting involved in politics. It makes it difficult for me to continue to enjoy her music when I now feel uncomfortable liking who she is as a person. A star for the old Taylor and a star for this well produced documentary.
