I had great expectations for this book because of how much everyone raves about it, but it is too predictable and dragged out. The story of a “mysterious girl” who is moody and a boy who is in love with her but too shy to do much is SO cliche. Perhaps it appeals more to an older, millennial-aged audience because everything in this book just seemed cringeworthy to me? I really did try to like this book but couldn’t because 1- the characters pissed me off with the lack of depth 2- the storyline was entirely too predictable with no surprises.
