I found this so plain, which is a weird thing to say considering the story and context. I understand Jude went through alot of trauma, but the self lothing and lack of doing anything to help manage the trauma and get 'better' wound me up throughout the whole story. It was like watching paint dry, dull and nothing actually happens. It was very poor me, apparently he couldn't function properly due to his trauma but he was loved by alot of people, has a successful job and money... Some parts were really not needed and I felt they just dragged the story out even more. Some say the traumatic bits are awful to read, I watched worse every week growing up on law and order SVU. Also the ending, so much misery and just stupid.
