I read this series looking for a “fun romance dystopian book” but it’s not a good series. The mc is super annoying and constantly forgets that the world isn’t black and white and constantly misjudges things. The main character’s first love interest (Aspen) is meh. Boringggg hated reading chapters with him in it. Prince Maxon (second love interest) is much more likeable but can’t make up for America and aspen. This book really has a fun plot BUT IT DRAGS OUT! Three books weren’t need for one competition…one book really could have cut out all the filler and made it short and sweet. I don’t recommend reading this book because while I did enjoy parts of it, it drags out and takes such a long time to get into.
