If your read his 'Nuns' books, you might not like this. Character is unlikeable and basically the best leader/swordsman/strategist/scholar/mage at age 9 or 10.
The kind of character where is it was him vs 1000 soldiers, he'd find an object (by luck that gives him the victory)
9 year olds with limited training should not handily be defeating seasoned knights and mercenaries
Go read the Nuns book by Lawrence, much much better
