I am watching this series now. I watched episodes 3 and 4 last night and wanted to commend the writers, Mark Bonnar, and Emily Watson. A superbly written and acted scene, when the naive young man comes to the house to help prep Yvonne for trial. I think I held my breath the entire time Gary had the knife at his throat, and cried as he defended Von and explained why her brain told her freezing was her only option to survive during the violent rape she endured. Also, the deep love and bond between Von and Gary is written and played so well, it reminds me of my husband and I. We have been through so much, and have been married 23 years. We have a deep love and friendship....I'm not sure where the story goes, but I am looking forward to finding out (I think). Thank you for sharing your talent, and for this scene.
