Just watched Midsommar and as a Swede who engages in the culture and has celebrated Midsommar my entire life I can’t help but feel offended- like isn’t this cultural appropriation? Obviously this is nothing like what actual Midsommar is, so why is it okay to distort and depict this beautiful culture and people to be homogenous, crazy and murderous?
