It deserves a 5-star for me. Cinematography, casts, scripts, soundtrack and music and most especially adherence to the central theme of LOTR, that is: the convergence of desperate and distinct races in the ultimate struggle of good against evil.
I notice some feedbacks want an immediate answer to everything and tie everything up instantly. But, to me, doing that would make everything else haphazardly done. I like how the show takes its time to really dwell in deep into what was and transcending gradually and beautifully in a realistic manner into what we know of the LOTR from the trilogy. One example is the criticism against Galadriel that she lacks the wisdom of the Galadriel we know of in LOTR. Some critics said she is rather rash and violent. But I personally think it is how it should be. I mean, nobody is born with wisdom, even an elf for that matter. Obviously, the show will eventually portray the struggles of Galadriel and how this would eventually shape the Galadriel that we know. In this light, I believe Morfydd Clark did an outstanding job playing the role of Galadriel and her life during the Second Age. You can see the beauty and determination in her as well as her struggle to fight the evil and darkness, while at the same time struggling not to become one herself.
Huge congrats to the showrunners, casts and everyone in the show's production! Will definitely be keeping my eyes and ears to the show. Tremendous job!
