It's bizarre to me that anyone would call this movie historically inaccurate. I mean sure, I guess they could have printed fake money to look more like the money of the time. But that's nitpicky stuff to me. The only reason I give it a 4 is the same reason with all Tyler Perry movies, they need more grit. And in this case I mean actual dirt. From the opening scene. They re supposed to be in a war zone and nobody has any dirt on them. All of his movies are that way. I don't know why but it's okay to show a little shabbiness in context once in a while. The actors are always too constricted as well. Otherwise this movie is way past due. I'm 67, well read, and furious that I never knew about these amazing women. My uncle was in Europe at the time. I know my grandma was glad for the mail she received.
