Thugs of Hindostan...Has the Movie Thugged the audience 😉
Well expectations are high due to several reasons mainly Aamir Khan and Amitabh Sir coming on the silver screen for the first time.Even if the movie just stared either of them the expectations are generally high.
Made on a budget of 300 crores the movie must certainly has showcased some visual graphics that Indian audiences haven't seen in a bollywood movie.
The cinematography is outstanding, the story is quite lengthy and boring in the second half. The performances by Amitabh Sir and Aamir are quite good but is " Quite Good" really good enough😉
The background score is impressive however the music is quite poor, some of the dialogues are impactful but many lack the Amit Ji's and Aamir's punch.
The actors are as good as the script and the director and though both of them are good ia parts but not through out.
The movie most certainly has a flavour of Pirates of Caribbean but in reality the film is based on Philip Meadows Taylor’s 1839 novel ‘Confessions of a Thug’and is about a gang who posed a serious challenge to the British Empire in India (then known as Hindustan or Hindostan) during the early 19th century.
Of the Cast Fatima Sana Shaikh is really impressive, Katrina is glamourious but is mainly seen in the songs, Big B's role is Quite small and Aamir has worked really hard on his character and leaves an impact on the audiences.
Now is it worth watching in the Cinema Hall or should one wait till Dec 31st for the television premier😄
It is most definitely a movie that should be watched on a Big Screen and is a one time watch.
I would however not spend huge money to watch the movie during Diwali and wait for the prices to reduce and watch it next week.
Overall 3/5
