Have watched this show since season 1. Agree that this season was a disappointment. The auditions (w/ endless back stories) and academy week are not entertaining and too long. The actual competition -- especially the week when the contestants are partnered w/ the pros -- is what attracts the viewers. I, too, felt the partnering this season with the smaller male dancers was cringe-worthy. Hope this show can return to its original format.
